We will always provide current documentation of both of these items with phone numbers that you can call to verify. How much will our project cost?
Without fully understanding what you are after, we can't say with a high level of certainty.
Can you give me a ballpark figure?
Yes, but we don't like doing so. If the "over the phone" answer we give you is too high, you won't call us back. If the answer is too low, when we calculate the actual bid for you, it will be an unpleasant surprise. Every project is different and therefore every project cost is different. We would rather you call us and spend 20 or 30 minutes letting us know what you want to have done. That way we can come up with a number that both you and us can work with.
How long will the project take?
This will give you a good idea. Each facet of construction generally takes a day or two. So, if you want a bathroom remodeled, there will be these five facets: demo, framing/rough in, tile/sheetrock, paint, trim/furnishings. This project would require one and a half to two weeks, for example.
We live in Mpls / St. Paul and our driveway isn't long enough to accommodate a dumpster. Does it have to go in the yard?
No. While working in neighborhoods that utilize alleys and often don't have large driveways, we will obtain a street-use permit from your city building department. They aren't free, but should not affect your project cost by more than $90.
